Pakistan T20 World Cup 24 Team Details
Babar Azam, the T20 captain of Pakistan, will lead the team in a major ICC event. Hopefully, he will succeed in winning this title for his country.
Openers
Possibly, Saim Ayub and Mohammad Rizwan will be the opening pair in the T20 World Cup 2024. Saim Ayub is a young talent and plays aggressively in the 20-over format, while Mohammad Rizwan is an experienced player who bats sensibly and can change the game in crucial moments in favor of his team.
Top Orders
Fakhar Zaman, Usman Khan, and Babar Azam are also good choices for top-order batsmen. Fakhar is a hard-hitter and plays with a strike rate exceeding 150. Usman Khan is a young and versatile player who can execute exceptional shots all around the ground. Babar Azam, a cover drive specialist, boasts a good record in the T20 format. He is a mature player capable of handling pressure in tough times, especially when the top-order wickets have fallen, and can lead his team to set a substantial total.
Middle Orders & Spinner
For the middle order, Azam Khan, Chacha Iftikhar, and Shadab Khan, will be part of the Pakistan T20 World Cup 2024 squad. Azam Khan, with his batting abilities, is also an option for the wicketkeeper position, along with Muhammad Rizwan. Iftikhar Ahmed, the most senior player in the squad, can make an impact in any tough situation with a 200 strike rate in batting.
All Rounders
After the PSL 2024, Pakistani all-rounder Imad Wasim announced his comeback from retirement. He had retired from international cricket in November 2023. Now he will be part of the Pakistan squad in the T20 World Cup 2024, which will be a great addition to the team. Mohammad Abbas Afridi is a new talent discovered by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Fast Bowlers
Muhammad Amir, the iconic fast bowler of Pakistan, rescinded his retirement and announced his availability for the Pakistan T20 World Cup 2024 squad and for sure he will be the part of team. Shaheen Shah Afridi, a left-arm fast bowler, is a nightmare for many batters, possessing the ability to take wickets in the opening overs and disrupt the entire batting lineup of the opposition. Naseem Shah, a young fast bowler, sustained an injury during the Asia Cup in September 2023 and was not part of the Pakistan Team in the ODI World Cup 2023. However, he is now fully fit and will be part of the squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Haris Rauf is also good option for fast bowling, especially in the middle overs.
