ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 Teams and Qualification
The 9th edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be held in Bangladesh from October 3 to 20. Australia is the defending champion, having defeated South Africa in the previous T20 World Cup 2023 final, which took place in Cape Town. Ten teams, divided into two groups of five, will compete for the title in this tournament.
Teams and Qualification
The ICC confirmed the qualification process for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in April 2022. Bangladesh qualifies for the event as the host country. The top six teams from the previous World Cup 2023 automatically qualified for this World Cup, and the Pakistan team qualifies based on ICC rankings. Scotland qualified for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 after beating Ireland in the first semi-final of the qualifier round, and Sri Lanka reached the tournament by defeating the United Arab Emirates in the second semi-final qualifier.
